- I/9 hook (5.5mm)
- 72 yds (1.5oz) 100% Cotton #4 Weight Yarn
- Darning Needle

- ch … chain
- hdc … half-double crochet

Notes
- Final measurement is typically 8 to 8.5” squared, but can be adjusted on preference
- If you’d like to change the width of your dishcloth, the starting ch is multiples of 2 +1

Using I/9 Hook (5.5mm)
Chain 31
Row 1: hdc in second ch from hook, sl st in next st, *hdc in next st, sl st in next st* repeat * to * until end, ch 1 and turn (30)
Row 2: hdc in first st, sl st in next st, *hdc in next st, sl st in next st* repeat * to * until end, ch 1 and turn (30)
Repeat row 2 until desired height. Fasten off, weave in ends.
I typically have 34 rows to end up with an 8” x 8” dishcloth

Row 2: sc in first st, *tr in next st, sc in next 2 sts* repeat * to * until last 2 sts, tr in next st, sc in last st; ch 1, turn (30)
Row 3: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn (30)
Row 4: sc in first 2 sts, *tr in next st, sc in next 2 sts* repeat * to * until last st, sc in last st; ch 1, turn (30)
Row 5: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn (30)
Row 6: sc in first 3 sts, *tr in next st, sc in next 2 sts* repeat * to * until last 3 sts, tr in next st, sc in last 2 sts; ch 1, turn (30)
Row 7: sc in each st across; ch 1, turn (30)
Repeat rows 2 - 7 until desired height. Be sure to end with a sc row if stopping in the middle of a repeat. Fasten off, weave in ends.
I typically have 5 repeats, including the original rows 2-7, to end up with an 8” x 8” dishcloth
